Join the MVMA for our second annual veterinarian wellbeing retreat! We will be at the beautiful Sebasco Harbor Resort, a family and pet friendly resort in Phippsburg. Attendees are encouraged to bring their partners and families. Dr. Heidi Hulon from Elanco will facilitate the event in a variety of workshops. In addition to workshops, there will be yoga, group meals, and opportunities to enjoy the resort. The resort offers activities, including golf, swimming, trails, and more activities to keep partners or kids occupied during the workshops.

Workshops will be designed to engage members and create meaningful conversations around a variety of topics related to wellness, compassion fatigue, and resiliency. We hope that participants will leave feeling rejuvenated and also with tools that they can bring back to their clinics or hospitals to help navigate this challenging period.

About Sebasco Harbor Resort

Sebasco Harbor Resort is a step back in time, to a leisurely pace far from the hectic day-to-day hassles of everyday life. Spend the day on the water or the golf course. Then catch a magnificent sunset as the sun disappears into the ocean. A variety of rooms are available. Room rates start at $250. Please tell the hotel you are booking with the Maine Veterinary Medical Association so that you are added to our room block.

Registration fee

Registration is $150. Fee includes dinner Sunday night, all meals Monday, and breakfast Tuesday. It also includes yoga and workshops. The hotel needs to be booked separately.

Family members or guests are welcome to come to dinner Sunday and Monday night, and we ask participants to pay and additional fee of $60 for each dinner. Family members are also invited to attend breakfast Saturday or Sunday at no additional cost. Please let Katherine know if you will be bringing guests to any meals.

The MVMA is also offering scholarships for members who need financial assistance to attend (scholarships for both registration fee and hotel expenses). Please contact Katherine ([email protected]) with a brief note about your interest if you would like to apply for a scholarship.
