He has served on the MVMA Legislative Committee. He has served as an MVMA Director, Vice President, President, and Past President. In addition to that, he volunteers for the state’s Animal Welfare Advisory Committee. Dr. Cole has volunteered his time and efforts in working on numerous legislative priorities on behalf of Miane veterinarians and we are grateful for his work.
Dr. Sarah Noble recognized with 2025 MVMA Distinguished Colleague Award
The MVMA Distinguished Colleague Award recognizes our colleagues around the state doing amazing work and supporting each other. Nominations are made by MVMA members and membership votes to select the winner. Dr. Sarah Noble was selected as the 2025 Distinguished Colleague Award winner. One MVMA member wrote: ""Dr. Noble has been providing advanced internal medicine expertise to the state of Maine for almost twenty years. She gives every patient and client her absolute best, every time. In addition to caring for small animals, she supports local veterinarians throughout Maine and teaches young veterinary interns. I have never met a client or fellow veterinarian who did not absolutely love working with her. She is a wonderful colleague to work with and learn from."
Summary of MVMA Activity During the 2024 Legislative Session

2024 was an emergency session in the Maine Legislature, which usually means a fairly quiet year. Not so this year, though! The MVMA was busy advocating on behalf of veterinarians and veterinary medicine. The MVMA worked on three high priority bills impacting veterinary medicine here in Maine:
LD 2156, An Act to Authorize the Provision of Emergency Medical Treatment for Certain Dogs
LD 2174, An Act to Protect Consumers from Predatory Medical Credit Card Providers
LD 1537, An Act to Amend the Laws Relating to the Prevention of Perfluoroalkyl and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances Pollution
