Job Posting - Executive Director, Maine Animal Health Alliance (MAHA). Are you a creative, flexible leader with a passion for animal welfare and public health? Then Maine Animal Health Alliance (MAHA) needs you! MAHA is a rapidly growing non-profit clinic that currently provides high quality, high volume spay/neuter services (HQHVSN) for both owned and shelter/rescue animals in Maine. We strive to support the human-animal bond and keep pets with their people despite financial restrictions. Additionally, MAHA offers training opportunities for veterinary professionals to learn HQHVSN techniques, conducts weekly Wellness clinics, and provides spay/neuter services in areas of need in Maine via a mobile clinic. We offer a competitive salary ($110,000 - $130,000/yr), based on skill level and experience, as well as a generous and flexible benefits package. The Executive Director (ED) serves as the chief executive officer of MAHA and is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight of the organization. This includes financial management, high-level staff supervision, fundraising, public relations, and ensuring delivery of high-quality veterinary services in line with the organization's mission and values. The ED reports directly to the Board of Directors and works collaboratively with veterinary and administrative staff to ensure the clinic operates efficiently and sustainably. The ED’s broad oversight of MAHA includes but may not be limited to the activities listed below. Finance & Fundraising ● Develop and manage the annual budget in collaboration with the Board Treasurer and staff. ● Ensure sound financial practices, transparency, and fiscal responsibility. ● Lead fundraising efforts including donor cultivation, grants, events, and community partnerships. Human Resources & Staff Development ● With Operations Director, hire, manage, and support a qualified team of staff members. ● Create a work environment that will cultivate and retain a skilled and compassionate team.
